COVID-19

Due to the current global pandemic, orders might take longer than expected to reach their destinations. Once packages are dropped off at the post office, the postal schedule is out of my control, so please keep a watchful eye on your order during these times. I appreciate your patience.

RETURNS

Returns are only accepted if wrong items are accidentally shipped out to you. If this does occur, please get in touch via email (megan@jiapotterystudio.com), providing your order number and images of the goods received.

Refunds will only be issued if damaged goods are reported to JIA Pottery Studio within 48 hours of the delivery date. A photo of the damaged piece, along with the box and packaging with all labels visible is required to be sent to JIA Pottery Studio (megan@jiapotterystudio.com) with the report. Damages outside of the 2 day limit will not be refunded as time sensitive insurance claims will interfere.

CARE RECOMMENDATIONS

Matte glazed pieces will inherently mark from scratches overtime. Due to the its nature, stoneware is more susceptible to chipping compared to mass produced wares. These pieces are everyday use objects, however they are artisan. Therefore, they require more care than normal factory-made ceramics.

Please handle your ceramics with care, wash by hand if possible and refrain from using any strong staining foods or liquids with them. Immediately washing after use and not leaving debris overnight or for long periods of time is recommended. Although the pieces are safe to be used in the dishwasher or microwave, they aren’t as durable as factory-made wares, and it is best for them if they aren’t use in a dishwasher or microwave.

Unglazed ceramic surfaces are porous and retain water. Do not place pieces containing water on exposed surfaces such as unfinished wood or any surface that is susceptible to water damage.

Some pieces may appear different from what is pictured due them being worked on individually through different stages of the making process. All pieces are handmade. Therefore, differences are expected from each item. Pots are made in different batches, so please expect variations in terms of size, shape and glaze color. Your piece is unique and one-of-a-kind!
